When we 1st saw Camwest was building in Downtown Kirkland we were so excited! We have always been impressed by this builder’s product and we have always wanted to live in Downtown Kirkland. We hit the jackpot!! Our kids, 11 and 14, enjoy walking to the pool, library, movies, shops, bakeries, etc. We like having the parks and lake close by too. The neighbors here at the Nettleton Commons are very friendly and interested in getting together for block parties, progressive dinners, and walking our dogs. Working with Camwest was an excellent experience and we love our beautiful new home!

The Nettleton Mansion (1914), a historic Kirkland property at 400 State St. has moved -- to a different part of the property.
Instead of demolishing the home to make way for a new 25-unit housing development (single family condominium-style homes), property owner CamWest Development decided to move it about a block to the southwest corner of the lot.
Built in 1914 by former Seattle Post-Intelligencer publisher Clark M. Nettleton, the home was designed in the “Southern Colonial Revival Style,” which, according to the city’s planning department, is quite uncommon for the area.
